Anthony Tomsett

Since then Tony experienced several enjoyable years as a partner in a family owned repair centre later combining this with part-time lecturing before taking up a full-time position within the Motor Vehicle Department at Stephenson College in Leicestershire.  During this time Tony managed a number of the HGV operators and manufacturers training programmes, including Scania Great Britain’s, whom he joined as their Commercial Training Manager in 1997.

Over the next few years he set up Scania’s prestigious National training centre in the Midlands, which continues to be an integral part of their training programme today and held a number of positions from national Training Manager, General Manager to UK Used Sales Director.

The Motor Industry has always been in Tony’s blood and that’s why he is proud to be undertaking such an integral role of representing the industry through his position on the IMI group board.
