Rachel Leech

In her ‘day job’ Rachel works for Mott MacDonald, leading the global engineering consultancy’s relationship with Network Rail across the UK.

Previously she was responsible for relationship management across GB rail for the Rail Safety and Standards Board (RSSB). Before that, she was headhunted to the tech start up founded by web inventor Sir Tim Berners-Lee. Prior to that, she managed global relationships with oil/mechanical engineering companies like BP, from Azerbaijan to Indonesia, for the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE).

A graduate in English, Rachel is passionate about helping people from diverse backgrounds into technical and engineering careers. She volunteers as a mentor for Women in Rail, as well as speaking at events for college students across her home county of Yorkshire, where she enjoys getting around in her campervan!
