Belonging & Engagement Manager

Hybrid role – 1 day based at Hertford office

There’s more to Motor!

This is the most exciting time to work in the automotive industry due to the adoption of electrification and autonomous technologies (think robots and smart devices!) and the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is at the forefront, ensuring everyone has the knowledge and skills they need to progress their career.

To ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to progress in our industry we’ve created a Task Force. We're sure you've heard the term EDI by now, but if not, it stands for equity, diversity and inclusion. It's a movement to change the landscape, giving everyone the opportunities and support they need.

Look here at some of the fantastic and thought-provoking work we have carried out, along with some of the leading employers within the sector: Equity, Diversity and Inclusion | Institute of The Motor Industry (theimi.org.uk).

And now our team is growing! We are looking for a passionate and collaborative person who will engage and inform our member community, and the wider automotive sector on topics and initiatives that foster community engagement and belonging.

The Belonging & Engagement Manager will generate and develop content and resources to support the IMI Diversity Taskforce activity as well as growing and working together with our networks, partners and sponsors. We want to ensure our sponsorship packages are adding value and having an impact so will require analysis to establish their effectiveness.

The successful candidate will ensure that ‘everyone can see themselves represented’ whether that is creating a case study for our Member community or working alongside our Marketing and Communications team internally on our employee platforms.
