The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is the professional body for individuals working in automotive, supporting people in their automotive careers through membership, qualifications and training. The IMI’s Professional Register aims to drive up standards across the automotive industry, providing consumers and customers with added confidence in the industry and the professionals who drive it.
Role Overview
As a part of our Membership Team, you’ll support with the development and implementation of engagement plans to foster strong sense of community and belonging among member community. You’ll create programs, events, and campaigns that encourage member participation, enhancing their overall experience.
The Member Community Engagement Officer will lead initiatives to gather member feedback, ensuring this is fed into plans to effectively meet the member community’s needs. They’ll also work to increase member retention and satisfaction through targeted communication and relationship building efforts.
About You
You will have experience of working in a similar role, in member community development, or related field, in a professional body environment. You’ll have the ability to manage a busy workload and deadlines whilst taking ownership of problems to find a solution where possible, escalating to a manager where required.
You'll need strong written and verbal communication skills to write engaging and inspiring content, you'll also be skilled at listening and responding to member queries and providing information in a concise and comprehensive manner.
Experience of Microsoft office is essential, as well as high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
