About the role
- Own and evolve IMI professional standards, competence frameworks and codes of conduct.
- Deliver trusted recognition routes (grading, awards and certification) with clear criteria, moderation and quality assurance.
- Assure CPD requirements and compliance through monitoring and audit.
- Advise on ethics and conduct, supporting governance and investigations where required; engage members, employers and external stakeholders.
Skills and experience
- Proven experience in professional standards, accreditation/recognition or quality assurance (ideally in a membership or professional body setting).
- Strong grasp of assessment design, evidence-based decision-making and moderation/QA.
- Experience of CPD frameworks and compliance monitoring.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to turn standards into clear guidance.
- High integrity and attention to detail; confident with digital systems and Microsoft 365.
Desirable
- Professional grading/chartered status frameworks.
- Regulatory or external accreditation environments.
- Supporting governance panels/committees or disciplinary processes.
- Workforce/professional development pathways.
- Automotive training experience.
