The shortlist were selected on the basis that they closely met many of the following criteria:

- Mentoring or coaching female colleagues
- Creating solutions and policies to help women to thrive in the workplace
- Being a visible female automotive influencer on social media
- Raising awareness of intersectionality and underrepresented female groups

- Being a trailblazer in a role usually done by men
- Inspiring you or her peers to create an inclusive culture
- Driving change to ensure we serve female customers better
The winners will receive their awards at a private reception at the IMI Annual Dinner and Awards, and the overall Inspiring Automotive Woman of the Year will be named during the awards ceremony.
