Meet this year's FMI bursary winner

FMI bursary winner 2025

The Fellowship of the Motor Industry, in partnership with the IMI, awards an annual bursary to an individual who has demonstrated remarkable dedication to their automotive career in the face of personal challenge or adversity. This bursary enables the recipient to further their personal and professional development beyond their formal training. Jacob Fish, a dedicated student from Bridgwater and Taunton College, who earlier in the night had been recognised with the prestigious Learner of the Year Award and was also honoured as the recipient of the esteemed FMI Bursary. This achievement was celebrated on stage, where Jacob was presented with the award by Peter Cottle, Chair of the Fellowship of the Motor Industry.

Jacob’s unwavering commitment to learning, coupled with his perseverance and drive for self-improvement, truly sets him apart. His resilience in overcoming challenges, his natural leadership qualities, and his dedication to both his education and his peers make him an exceptional student. He consistently goes above and beyond, serving as a role model and source of inspiration to those around him at Bridgwater and Taunton College.

His achievements not only reflect his hard work and passion but also highlight the values of dedication and excellence that the college strives to instill in all its learners. Congratulations to Jacob on this well-deserved recognition!
