Emma Carrigy leads the Research, Careers and Inclusion function at the Institute of the Motor Industry, where she brings over two decades of experience in data, policy and programme delivery.
With a background in economics, statistics and public sector transformation, Emma is passionate about using research to shape strategic decisions and unlock inclusive growth in the UK’s automotive sector.
She has particular expertise in labour market analysis, future skills forecasting, and supporting a diverse and evolving workforce as the industry transitions to a greener, more digital future.
Andy Turbefield, Head of Quality, Policy, and Standards, Halfords Autocentres
Andy Turbefield has worked in the Automotive Sector for over 35 years. He is a Fellow of the Institute of the Motor Industry and has a Master’s Degree in Senior Leadership.
Andy has worked with the IMI for many years and is a founding member of the IMI Techsafe working group.
Andy’s work with training and development was recognised in 2018 when he was presented with the Contribution to the Motor Industry Award by the IMI and he continues to drive the skills agenda with the Automotive Sector and Government departments.
