Accreditation is important, so we’re offering extensions

Alarm clock

The world has changed a hell of a lot since March. The industry has had to overcome huge hurdles, and we’re all individually facing challenges and, yes, having to cope with a lot of anxiety.

But there are things we can do to give ourselves a jumpstart.

When times are difficult we need to position ourselves and the businesses we work in as providing the gold standard in service and ability. This is a crucial way to make sure that customers keep coming back and that the cash flows.

Accreditation – in other words, showing your customers that you and your organisation are at the top of your game – is one of the best methods for providing that assurance.

This is easily said, but we understand that right now other areas of your life may be taking priority. That’s why the IMI is offering a six-month extension to all IMI Accreditation candidates with an expiry date between 1st July 2020 and 31st March 2021.

We’ve sent out more than 5,000 emails to those who could benefit from the extension, but if you’re yet to register your interest in the scheme head to our Accreditation Extension Survey and let us know. Over 230 people have made a request so far. That’s a signal that automotive professionals are getting their skills and credentials in order.

And if you aren’t already accredited, the IMI offers pathways for employers, individuals and training providers, so no matter what area you work in you can benefit from it. It’s worth looking into, and all the information you need is on the IMI’s accreditation website. The process could give you or your business the boost it needs right now.

Every little helps when times are tough.

If the IMI can help in any way please get in touch, we’re to help. So get in touch on +44 (0)1992 519025, or send emails to hello@theimi.org.uk if you need us.

With my very best wishes,
