Dubai based automotive centre approved to deliver IMI-accredited qualifications to tackle automotive skills gap

Aftersages has achieved IMI Centre approval from the Institute of Motor Industry, with ambitious plans to deliver automotive leadership and management training programmes to the next generation of automotive leaders across the United Arab Emirates.

As the global professional body for the automotive sector, the IMI sets the standard for skills, competence and professional development, supporting individuals and businesses across the world.

IMI Centre approval recognises organisations that meet rigorous quality standards in the delivery of automotive training and qualifications. Approved Centres are required to demonstrate excellence in teaching, assessment, facilities and industry relevance, ensuring learners receive high-quality, globally recognised training.

“Achieving IMI Centre approval is a proud milestone for Aftersages and a strong validation of our commitment to excellence in automotive training. By delivering IMI-accredited leadership and management programmes, we aim to equip the next generation of automotive professionals with the skills, confidence and capability needed to lead in a rapidly evolving industry. We look forward to playing a key role in supporting workforce development across the UAE.” said Elie Atell, Managing Director Aftersages.

The approval comes at a critical time as the automotive sector across the Middle East undergoes rapid transformation, with increasing demand for skilled professionals in electrification, advanced vehicle technologies and leadership.

“Aftersages becoming an IMI Approved Centre is a significant step in strengthening leadership capability across the global automotive sector,” said Pete Jackson, International Business Development & Accounts Manager. “Their commitment to delivering IMI-accredited automotive leadership and management qualifications will help raise standards and support the development of future-ready leaders. We are pleased to welcome them into our international network and to support their work in the region.”

The IMI continues to work with industry, training providers and policymakers globally to close skills gaps, raise professional standards and support the development of a workforce equipped for the future of mobility.
