Be prepared for the next challenge

Arrow

We’ve all had to adapt to changing circumstances over the past few months, and the likelihood is we’ll have to continue to change approaches moving forward too. But the difference is that we should be better prepared for any challenges we face in the future.

When coronavirus hit and the lockdown began we were all in the same position, wondering what we should be doing and trying our best to find solutions to problems we’d never faced before. And while we may have begun returning to some sort of normality recently, there’s still a chance things could take a step backwards.

Localised restrictions have been enforced in areas including Manchester, Leicester and Luton and it could happen in more locations too. We all need to be ready.

And I think we are. We held our latest webinar at the end of last week, Post-lockdown challenges, where I was joined by Hayley Pells Director at Avia Sports Cars and industry consultant Tom Denton at Automotive Technology, who discussed what we’ve learned from the lockdown. It was a lively discussion and worth re-watching if you have the chance.

During the webinar we talked about what knowledge could be used if we faced similar restrictions in the future.

That could be everything from incorporating a rigorous health and safety plan to getting your supply chain in order to operate as smoothly as possible even in the most extreme of circumstances. It doesn’t matter if you’re a small or large business you need to consider developing a contingency plan, and with the knowledge we’ve all gained since March, that should be far simpler than before.

We’ll continue to add to the webinars we’ve already run as they’re a fantastic way for you to get important questions answered, so keep an eye on your inbox and our social media feeds to find out what’s coming next. And if you’d like to catch up with any of the events we’ve hosted so far, you can find them all on our COVID hub.

With my very best wishes,
