The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is continuing to put energy behind its fundraising for BEN, its nominated charity for its centenary year. The latest effort focuses on the online auction of a signed race suit of Kawasaki Superbike World Champion, Jonathan Rea MBE. And, aiming to capture the enthusiasm of motorbike racing fans, the live auction is being run during Motorcycle Live where the IMI is also exhibiting.

To put in a bid for the suit, visit The IMI Online Auction.  Bids will close on 4th December 2020.

As Steve Nash, CEO of the IMI and Chairman of BEN explains, the need for support for the charity has never been greater. “BEN provides a wealth of resources to support the health & wellbeing of those working in the automotive industry. Unfortunately, however, despite the need for this support growing enormously as a result of COVID-19, the charity’s funding has dropped significantly. The IMI is, therefore, doing all it can to raise funds, including this latest online auction of Jonathan Rea’s race suit, kindly donated by Jonathan and Kawasaki.”

BEN is an independent charity and dedicated partner to the automotive industry, providing support for life for automotive people and their family dependents. Its focus is on delivering care and support to enable total health & wellbeing through working and later life. Amongst its many support services it offers a free, confidential helpline, runs three residential care centres and works with individuals to provide tailored support plans, case management and interventions such as counselling, life coaching and financial assistance.
