The IMI reaches out to community for support for Bridgwater & Taunton College

The IMI is reaching out to its community to ask for help for Bridgwater and Taunton College after they suffered the loss of a number of their facilities due to a fire back in February.

All at the IMI were shocked to hear the recent news of the devastating fire at Bridgwater & Taunton College, which left their specialist Motorsport and Motorcycle workshops destroyed along with a number of classrooms inaccessible. We are relieved to know that nobody was injured, and our thoughts and best wishes are with the dedicated students and staff impacted by this terrible event.

The college has been a much-valued IMI approved Centre for a number of years, during which they have enjoyed many successes including in the BRSCC Championship with both their own student-run team and supporting customer teams.

The IMI would like to take this opportunity to reach out to our industry in a request of any support available to help them rebuild their provision during such a challenging time. Fundraising efforts are already underway and we would like to further support this cause.

If you feel you can help in any way, please contact the college directly via raceteam@btc.ac.uk

We wish the college the best of luck in rebuilding what was destroyed by the blaze, and we hope the impact on students can be minimized as much as possible.
