MA events back in 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a huge amount of disruption, unfortunately MA events in 2020 are one of the victims, but the IMI still has resources available to help you develop while we await their return next year
Coronavirus is making everyone adjust to the new normal and forcing difficult decisions on organisations across the country. The IMI is no different, and throughout the pandemic has needed to adapt to a changing landscape.
One unfortunate victim of COVID-19 is live, in-person MA events, traditionally a key pillar in the year’s calendar but sadly postponed due to social distancing requirements. And unfortunately, they won’t be returning until spring next year at the earliest.
“Due to COVID-19, the IMI will not be holding physical meetings before the 31st March 2021. This policy will be reviewed on the 1st March 2021,” said IMI CEO Steve Nash.
It’s a decision that hasn’t been taken lightly. The IMI is constantly monitoring government updates and working to deliver content and events that help our members, especially in challenging times, but health and safety concerns mean MA events aren’t viable at present.
It’s disappointing, but we feel it’s the right decision, and one made at the right time. There is still a great deal of uncertainty surrounding the pandemic, and the IMI needs to take a responsible approach moving forward.
But while live, in-person events may be postponed, the IMI has a huge number of resources available to help you build and develop your careers and knowledge.
