The more you ask, the more we can help

Steve Nash

The coronavirus has changed life completely and it’s difficult to remember what things were like before the pandemic hit. I know that many of you will be finding it difficult to navigate through the challenges you face.

The whole team at the IMI is working hard to support you as much as we can. Engagement between members and the IMI is at very high levels right now, as is traffic to our new website and Covid-19 hub and in less than 24 hours, we have received 140 applications to a selection of our free eLearning courses, designed to help learning continue.

The Government has drawn up a number of options to help support individuals and businesses with the financial pressures, while new guidance is in place to help the industry work to keep the nation mobile.

But I understand that areas including accessing funding, concerns regarding MOT extensions and working practices will require increased support. This is why the IMI continues to lobby the government and is working closely with other bodies, so when issues do arise we can make sure that we find the correct solution and make your voice heard.

Webinar

To help us address the issues you’re facing in this crisis, I’ll be hosting a webinar on the 23rd April. I hope we’ll be able to bring clarity to a range of topics. If there’s a burning issue you’d like to ask send it over – the more you ask the more we can help.

#Motorheroes

Despite the difficulties we face, there are people in our industry going the extra mile to make sure the wheels keep turning. And we want to celebrate them. So whether it’s fundraisers, PPE donors or they’re keeping keyworker vehicles on the road, we want to hear your positive stories. If you know any #motorheroes who need highlighting, let us know on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn.

At times of crisis, communication is key, so if you have any questions that you need answering or want to discuss how the IMI’s can help you, please contact us on +44 (0)1992 519025, or send emails to hello@theimi.org.uk. We’re here to help.
