Your 2022 IMI Skills Competitions finalists…

An amazing group of talented apprentices have been battling it out since February to win the 2022 IMI Skills Competitions. And the cream is rising to the top as we edge closer to the finals at the end of the year.

The IMI Skills Competitions encompasses four disciplines: Refinishing, Heavy Vehicles, Body Repair and Light Vehicle/Automotive Technology.

It began with employers and tutors nominating their brightest apprentices, took in an online knowledge quiz, with the top 84 taking part in six practical tasks in a one day live event.

Now it’s been narrowed down to the top six from each stream, representing the best new talent in the UK, all ready to take on the decisive challenge: the live final with six practical tasks in November. The winners taking home gold and the chance to represent the UK at World Skills International.
