Review of Scottish Qualifications 2022/23: Your Chance to Have Your Say!

The IMI are reviewing a number of Scottish SVQ and Diploma qualifications during 2022/23. We are looking for industry experts, employers, training providers and any other relevant stakeholders to take a short questionnaire on the proposed changes and feed into the review.

We are reviewing the qualifications listed below to make sure that they are still fit for purpose and relevant to the sector. The automotive landscape is changing rapidly with new technologies emerging. So, this will be a good opportunity take these into account and make sure any necessary changes are reflected in the qualifications.

In total there are FOUR qualifications being reviewed as follows:

  1. SVQ in Vehicle Parts Operations at SCQF Level 5
  2. Diploma in Vehicle Body Repair & Alignment Principles at SCQF Level 6
  3. Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Principles at SCQF Level 6
  4. Diploma in Vehicle Fitting Principles at SCQF Level 5
