MOT

Our MOT qualifications are nationally-recognised, vocational-related qualifications which certify that your knowledge and skills are of a standard required to work in the motor industry.

If you want to start or build your automotive career around ensuring vehicles are safe enough for use on the road, our MOT qualifications are right for you. They are designed to help you build and demonstrate your skills and competencies within this area whether you have no industry experience, are training to become part of the industry’s workforce or have been working in the industry for many years.

You can choose from a range of technical qualifications for all levels of knowledge and experience, which will meet your current needs and help to develop your future career.

Who are MOT qualifications suitable for?

Our MOT qualifications can be earned by anyone, whether you have no motor industry experience or many years in the industry workforce.

  • Entry level - 14-19 year olds who are interested in learning about MOTs.
  • Level 1 - Learners between 16 and 19 years of age who want to start working on MOTs.
  • Level 2 - Young apprentices who are training to work on MOTs.
  • Level 3 - Individuals who are employed in the motor industry and want to increase their MOT skills and competencies.
  • Level 4 and above - Technicians or management who are already qualified to level 3 and want to expand their MOT knowledge and skills.

What does it take to achieve a qualification?

Each qualification is usually completed over a year. Some qualifications are full-time commitments while others can be achieved through part-time involvement. Every qualification normally involves training with a combination of practical and online assessments.
