Arran started his automotive career in a Toyota retailer, as an Apprentice Technician, in 1995 where he gained his technical qualifications. He then joined roadside assistance provider, the AA, as a Roadside Patrol in 2000.
Over the next 17 years he undertook a number of roles at the AA in training, account management, business to business sales and operational improvement, before becoming Head of Connected Car Operations.
During his time at the AA, Arran also worked and led on major investment projects and sat on various working groups across Europe, Australia and the US.
Arran joined Nissan Europe in 2017 to focus on new business opportunities from vehicle connectivity and data, as the industry was mandated to provide connected car features such as eCall.
Arran is now Chief Engineer at Jaguar Land Rover and leads teams in the UK and China looking after vehicle connectivity, data science, global market delivery and operations.
He became an IMI member in 2006 and graduated from the University of Birmingham with a Master of Business Administration in 2015.
Arran brings knowledge and experience of the new connected car and digital world to the IMI Board.
