IMI Secures two nominations at the 2024 Memcom Excellence Awards
The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) is delighted to announce its nominations for the prestigious 2024 Memcom Excellence Awards in the Best Email Newsletter and Best Celebration Event categories. These nominations highlight IMI’s commitment to excellence in communication and event organisation, underscoring our dedication to engaging and inspiring our membership community and the wider sector.
The Best Email Newsletter nomination for our MotorPro Weekly Newsletter recognises the IMI’s consistent efforts in delivering high-quality, informative, and engaging content to our membership community. Our newsletter has become a vital resource for our members, offering them exclusive insights into the automotive industry covering a wide range of topics from technological advancements and training developments to industry challenges and future prospects as well as interviews with industry leaders and experts.
MotorPro Weekly’s impact has also played a part in this nomination, with the newsletter contributing to 65% of our total membership interactions in the financial year 2023/2024. This highlights the newsletter's effectiveness in fostering meaningful connections and communication with our members.
In the category of Best Celebration Event, the IMI has been acknowledged for its 2024 Annual Dinner held in London in March this year. Our Annual Dinner is designed to honour the accomplishments of the talented individuals and influential businesses in our sector, with seven IMI Awards handed out on the night. This year also included the Inspiring Automotive Women Awards, in partnership with the Automotive 30% Club, of which IMI staff- past and present – including Lesley Woolley and Hayley Pells have been recognised. We’re delighted that the event was shortlisted for its exceptional ability to create a memorable and impactful evening that fosters our automotive community and celebrates achievements within the sector.
“We are honoured to be nominated for these awards,” said Steve Nash, CEO of the IMI. “These nominations are a testament to the hard work and creativity of our team, and their unwavering dedication to our aims of supporting our member community and recognising exceptional individuals that work within the automotive sector. We are proud to be recognised alongside so many other outstanding organisations and look forward to celebrating at the Memcom Excellence Awards.”
