Update on IMI Executive Team and strategic transition

press release lead

As the Institute of the Motor Industry continues its strategic transition, positioning the IMI for the challenges and opportunities ahead in the automotive sector, we will be recruiting a permanent executive team to lead the organisation.

We are currently recruiting for a new CEO to take over from Azlina Bulmer, who has had temporary responsibility for overall management, organisation, and staffing of the IMI, during this period of transition.

Steve Nash, who was CEO until July 2024 before shifting his focus to leading on the IMI’s external affairs, will be leaving the IMI at the end of the year. Steve has made a huge contribution, in various roles, since 2009. Having served the IMI for over 15 years he will be moving on to other projects, including his work as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the industry charity BEN.
