COURSE STRUCTURE

THEORY

This module introduces technicians to the fundamentals of automotive electrical diagnostics using the TEXA IDC6 platform, guiding them through navigating and configuring diagnostic menus for electric and electrical‑system‑equipped vehicles. Learners will develop an understanding of key communication protocols such as CAN and LIN, perform essential diagnostic scans, and interpret electrical system fault codes across a wide range of car and light commercial vehicle systems.

PRACTICAL ASSESSMENT

The second practical day of the Fundamentals of Electrics course focuses on hands‑on work with tools and simple circuits. Learners practice safe handling of equipment, use multimeters for standard measurements, and assemble simple series and parallel circuits. By the end of the session, they gain confidence in wiring, testing, and understanding how current moves through a circuit.
