Engine Cooling System Technology

The main function of the cooling system is to remove the heat from the engine, particularly around the cylinder walls and the combustion chambers. This should occur under all operating conditions, including the extremes of very hot weather, hard driving and high altitude. This course is about cooling operation, antifreeze, component operation, and the heater. Learners will also gain an understanding of the part cooling systems play in keeping exhaust emissions to a minimum.
