Who is it suitable for?

The Award is suitable for learners aged 16 and above. The Award meets the requirement of IMI Sector Skills Council (SSC) Apprenticeship frameworks for learners to know their employment responsibilities and rights (E.R.R).  Therefore this qualification is taken alongside other qualifications in a framework, which includes a Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) and Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) in the learner's occupational subject area and Functional Skills.

About

The purpose and aim of this single unit qualification (vocationally related qualification) is to enable a learner to develop understanding of the automotive industry and the role of their organisation within the industry.  Learners will gain a clear understanding of their role within the organisation. They will also learn about their rights and responsibilities as an individual and their responsibilities when dealing with others.

Progression

Most learners achieving this qualification will be undertaking an IMI Sector Skills Council Apprenticeship. Therefore once they have completed the Apprenticeship, the learner can either progress to further learning & training or to employment.

Assessment

The unit is achieved by completing the Learner E.R.R workbook, which covers the areas that learners need to know about. Generally this will be delivered as part of the learner's induction programme.
