This Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) is designed to engage and motivate 14-19 year olds who are interested in learning about the automotive retail industry. It is ideal for those learners who wish to undertake a qualification which provides a stepping stone to the IMI Entry Level Certificate for the Introduction to Motor Vehicle Industry and Technologies (Entry 3).
This qualification involves a practical approach to assessment and includes many visual questioning techniques which stimulates and draws interest to learners.
The qualification’s combination of units provides learners with the flexibility in the choice of the areas they wish to develop their knowledge and skills in.
All learners will cover mandatory introductory units in Health and Safety, Communication, Career Pathways and Hand Tools all relevant within the automotive industry.
The learners will then have a choice from specialist units covering areas such as Light Vehicle, Motorcycle, Body and Paint.
After completing this qualification, the learner has the opportunity to progress onto IMI Entry Level Certificate for the Introduction to Motor Vehicle Industry and Technologies (Entry 3).
