IMI Accreditation Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) - Calibration - Full Route

AOM230 is intended for technicians whose job role involves working with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). 

This specialist module is designed to confirm that the technician has the knowledge and practical competence required to calibrate Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). It demonstrates the technician’s ability to identify and accurately interpret vehicle-specific information and ADAS features in order to determine and apply the appropriate calibration method. Successful completion of this accreditation supports compliance with the requirements of BS10125.

The module also assesses the technician's ability to identify/locate and follow software-specific recalibration methods during the assessment process. They will also be required to use the correct tools and equipment in order to demonstrate their ability to calibrate two ADAS sensors on a vehicle with a minimum of two operating systems.

These include: Auto Industry Consulting Ltd, Belron, Nationwide Accident Repair Services Ltd and Thatcham to ensure that the standalone assessed outcome module is fit for purpose; effectively raising standards in calibrating Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

Technicians looking to undertake this standalone module should be working in the automotive industry and must have relevant diagnostic experience to ensure that they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to calibrate ADAS systems.
