IMI Accredited Assessments were created to help the retail motor industry keep on top of constant, rapid changes in technology, legislation and working methods by encouraging and measuring the current competence, knowledge and ability of those working within it. By providing proof of current competence, IMI Accredited Assessments benefit both individuals and their employers.
The First Line Manager route is designed for individuals working in an operational role; supporting day-to-day business operations through objectives and targets that filter down from the strategy or business plan.
Sometimes called ‘team leaders’, they have less responsibility than a Middle Manager. Typically, on a practical daily basis, they have responsibility for the direct management of front-line people or teams.
The individual should be in full-time employment with at least two years’ experience in an operational, first line management role.
IMI Accredited Assessment for First Line Managers is the industry-recognised, competency-based accreditation for management and leadership. Achievement provides recognition for managers and leaders, highlighting areas of competence and providing insight into management skills.
This route requires the individual to complete the following four Assessed Outcome Modules:
Business Operations - AOM L31
Customer Service, Legal and Environmental Requirements - AOM L32
Managing People - AOM L33
Recruit, Induct and Develop - AOM L34
