IMI Level 3 Diploma in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Competence (CVET)

Who is it suitable for?

This qualification is for:

Those who are already in employment and who wish to achieve a qualification that demonstrates competence in the workplace.

Those undertaking an Apprenticeship with a competence qualification, e.g. CVET (VCQ/NVQ) requirement.

About

A learner who has achieved this Level 3 CVET (VCQ/NVQ) qualification, may choose to broaden their education and training by progressing into a higher level qualification such as the IMI Level 4 Certificate In Advanced Automotive Studies (603/0700/6) or a management qualification such as IMI Level 4 Certificate In Automotive Management  (600/0298/0 VRQ).

This learning programme qualification is based upon IMI Sector Skills Council's National Occupational Standards.

Progression

This qualification could allow an individual to progress onto an apprenticeship or a higher level of learning and training.

Assessment

The assessment of this CVET (VCQ/NVQ) is made up of 3 components:

• Learner portfolio of evidence
• Assessor observations in the workplace
• Learner completion of written support material
