Assessment

All units for the qualification are assessed through workplace observation and assessor questioning. Learners will demonstrate their skills and knowledge by collecting evidence of their work.

This evidence is usually presented in a portfolio (however the approved centre may use an alternative method). The centre assessor will advise learners on how to generate, collect, and present their evidence.

Learners will also undertake IMI-set online multiple-choice tests, which are covered on completion of the VRQ Diploma. If a VRQ is not completed as part of the SVQ, then assessor questioning must take place to cover the knowledge and understanding elements of the programme.
