Who is the Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) Route for?

The IMI Accreditation DAB route is intended for technicians whose job role involves the installation of DAB radio components to either fit replacement units or to upgrade existing audio units to receive digital signal.

There is only one level of job role within DAB:

• Radio Installation Technician

The technician should be working in the auto electrical sector of the industry and ideally have at least one years experience to ensure they are familiar with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to fit replacement DAB radio equipment or adapt analogue radios to receive digital signals.
