This qualification is for:

Typically, school and college leavers who wish to develop a career in the automotive maintenance and repair industry or individuals who want the opportunity to develop occupational knowledge and skills to carry out practical tasks.

ABOUT

A Learner who has achieved this Level 2 (VRQ) qualification may choose to broaden their education and training by progressing into a higher-level qualification such as the IMI Level 3 Diploma in Heavy Goods and Public Service Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Principles. 

This learning programme qualification is based upon IMI Sector Skills Council's National Occupational Standards.

PROGRESSION

This qualification could allow an individual to progress onto an apprenticeship or a higher level of learning and training.

ASSESSMENT

The assessment of this (VRQ) is made up of 2 components:

a. IMI Practical Support Material;

b. IMI Written Support Material
