This qualification is for:
Typically, school and college leavers who wish to join the heavy goods and public service vehicle maintenance and repair industry or individuals who want the opportunity to develop the occupational knowledge and skills to carry out practical tasks.

This learning programme qualification is based upon the IMI Sector Skills Council's National Occupational Standards.
PROGRESSION
This qualification could allow an individual to progress onto an apprenticeship or a higher level of learning and training.
ASSESSMENT
The assessment of this (VRQ) is made up of 2 components:
a. IMI Practical Support Material;
b. IMI Written Support Material.
