This L3 qualification is designed to provide a standardised approach for the delivery and assessment of the knowledge and skills requirements.

 

Units included are:

  • Diagnosis and rectification of vehicle auxiliary electrical faults
  • Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle engine vaults
  • Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle chassis system faults
  • Diagnosis and rectification of light vehicle transmission and driveline faults
  • Removing and replacing MET components and non permanently fixed body panels
  • Health, safety and goodhousekeeping in the automotive environment
  • Support for job roles in the automotive environment
  • Materials, facbrication, tools and measuring devices used in the automotive environment

Assessment

The assessment is made up of two components:

 

  • Practical tasks
  • Written Assessments
