For those technicians who predominantly work at the roadside carrying out repair and replacement tyre activities please use the alternative route for ‘Offsite Commercial Tyre Technician (tubeless)’ which can be found here.
The minimum entry requirement is 2 years industrial experience OR a Level 2 S/NVQ (or equivalent qualification) plus at least one year's experience in a relevant industrial environment.
In order to achieve an irtec licence a candidate must pass an Under Pinning Knowledge (theory) test consisting of 30 questions at an IMI approved Assessment centre.
