Partner with The Institute of the Motor Industry to Support Qualification Renewals

As the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), we are committed to ensuring that learners continue to retain regulated qualifications and remain compliant within the automotive sector. Many qualifications available in Wales are approaching their registration end dates. Therefore, we are seeking the support of training providers and employers to facilitate the renewal process.

Your expertise in delivering training and assessments is invaluable in helping professionals and young learners to meet their certification requirements. By working together, we can ensure that learners have access to the necessary training, resources, and assessments to become qualified and reach their goals.

To support this initiative, we have provided templates for letters of support. We kindly request that training providers and employers complete these templates and return them to us as soon as possible. Your contribution is essential in demonstrating the continued demand for these qualifications and ensuring their ongoing availability within the industry.

We invite you to collaborate with us and return all completed support letters for Accident Repair level 2 and 3 qualifications which expire on 31st August 2025, by close of play on 30th May 2025. This should provide sufficient time for centres to liaise with employers of apprentices and relevant local authorities.

We require all completed support letters for Entry Level 3 and Level 1 qualifications which expire on 31st December 2025, to be returned by close of play on 30th September 2025.

Please can we ask that all support letters are returned to productspecialist@theimi.org.uk

Thank you for your support, and if you require any further information, please get in touch.
