Introducing 'Motorvate' an exciting, not-for-profit showcase set to run alongside Automechanika Birmingham from 3-5 June 2025 at the NEC! We are all aware of the biggest collective challenge facing our industry, with the IMI predicting a shortfall of 160,000 people across the automotive sector by 2031 and the need for an additional 45,800 technicians in the next ten years.
Messe Frankfurt UK, the team behind Automechanika Birmingham, is going to coordinate the collective industry approach to tackle this issue head-on by launching ‘Motorvate’ - a not-for-profit, new showcase. Set to run alongside Automechanika Birmingham from 3-5 June 2025 at the NEC.
Delivered in association with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and with the backing of Headline Sponsors Autotech Group, European Tyre Enterprise Limited (ETEL), LKQ Euro Car Parts and Toyota GB. Motorvate will showcase the automotive sector as an exciting, tech-driven industry with a wealth of career opportunities. At its core, the initiative will feature engaging talks, celebrity appearances, competitions, entertainment, and sponsor events.
It will attract students (colleges and universities), tutors, lecturers, apprentices, apprenticeship providers, garage & bodyshop owners, employees seeking new opportunities, industry bodies, and mid-career changers.
