The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has undertaken a review of the Electric & Hybrid Vehicle National Occupational Standards (NOS)
Consultation events were largely electronic, in the form of video/telephone conference meetings and online surveys but we also had face-to-face meetings in each of the four nations.
Closed end of September 2023
Phase 1 - completed
Meeting dates:
- England – 18th October, IMI, Hertford
- England – 19th October, Autotech, Milton Keynes
- Scotland – 26th October, GTG Glasgow
- Northern Ireland –17th October, SERC Downpatrick
- Wales – 23rd October, Coleg y Cymoedd, Ystrad Mynach
Online meeting dates:
- England – 20th November, 1pm
- Scotland – 17th November, 10am
- Northern Ireland – 15th November, 1pm
- Wales – 20th November 10am
Phase 1a - completed
New development Focus Group meetings:
- EV Battery Maintenance – 27th November, 10am
- EV Conversions – 27th November, 2pm
- Hydrogen – 28th November, 10am and 12th December, 10am
- Blue Light Sector’ First response to EV incidents/accidents – 1-2-1 calls scheduled
Phase 2
Wider consultation electronic survey gathered feedback on the draft NOS for six weeks from 18th December until 26th January 2024.
