NBRA and IMI partner to offer EV training to the body repair industry

The National Body Repair Association (NBRA) and the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) have partnered together to provide access to electric vehicle eLearning for staff working in NBRA member bodyshops.

As electric and hybrid vehicle technology is becoming more widely used, knowledge of the dangers associated with high voltage systems is of paramount importance in staying safe when working on these vehicle types.

NBRA members will have access to a package containing five eLearning modules from electric vehicle introduction to safe working and charging.  The training is certificated and all individuals that take up this offer will receive IMI membership at Affiliate level for 12 months.

“As electric vehicles increase in popularity, it is important for those working and handling these vehicles to be able to make safe and be safe working on them.  We are delighted to be partnering with the National Body Repair Association to provide their network with access to Electric Vehicle eLearning.”

“The NBRA is very pleased to be able to offer its members access to this important IMI electric vehicle eLearning package at a special rate to members that also provides for affiliate membership.  As more and more electric vehicles move into general circulation and get damaged, it is essential that a wide cross section of roles across the body repair industry have an understanding of how to handle these vehicles safely.”
