Course overview
This module will introduce you to the different components that operate in conjunction with the vehicle chassis. The module will enable you to identify a vehicle steering system and how it is attached to the chassis to accurately guide a vehicle. A discussion of the vehicle suspension system is also included in the module to train you on how the suspension system works with the vehicle chassis to maximise passenger comfort and safety once a vehicle is deployed on the road. You will study relevant vehicle braking systems and discover how braking systems are a key feature of a vehicle’s safety system and also train you in how wheels and tyres work together to support the chassis system and how an electronic chassis control system operates on a modern vehicle.
