These electric and hybrid modules are designed for those looking to gain critical technical knowledge. They include a range of relevant visual imagery to assist all participants gain vital understanding across an array of topics and levels when working with electric and hybrid vehicles and components.
You will have the opportunities to understand the types of Electric Vehicle (EV) and systems including Series, parallel hybrids, plug-in-hybrid drives and much more within an introduction. You will identify necessary procedures for safe working and establish the types of tooling and equipment required when isolating electric vehicles. Once successful completion of key introduction modules, you can develop your knowledge and understanding of EV technology and components, High Voltage (HV) components and their operation, such as formation of a static magnetic field, HV cabling, contact relays, potential equalization and again much more.
Taking this a step further, you can gain an impressive understanding of HV battery types including, Inter-connection of cells, Hochvolt batteries, Cylindrical and pouch cells, discovery alternative fuels such as hydrogen cells, before advancing to diagnosing and testing electric vehicles. Within these modules, you gain understanding of implementing a hybrid and electrical diagnostic strategy and establish diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). This group of modules also allows participants the opportunities to understand electric motor diagnostics.
