Course Overview: This course is designed for vehicle technicians and garage owners who are interested in this new technology or are thinking of getting involved in the service and repair of these vehicles. This course is assessed via a Bosch multiple choice assessment. Course Content: • Introduction to Hydrogen vehicles • The case for Hydrogen • The hazards of Hydrogen • Hydrogen production and storage • Basic operation of a Hydrogen fuel cell • Workshop requirements Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites for this course however we recommend that delegates are familiar with the general operation of a vehicle, and knowledge of Electric/Hybrid vehicles will be a very beneficial. Attainment: On successful completion of HYD1, delegates will have: • Had an introduction to Hydrogen vehicles FCEV and HICEV • Will understand the benefits of Hydrogen • Will understand the hazards of Hydrogen • Will understand the how Hydrogen is produced and stored • Will understand the basic operation of a Hydrogen fuel cell • Will understand the workshop requirements for the repair of Hydrogen vehicles
Attainment:
