High Performing Teams Need Their Space

To encourage team leaders and team members to look closely at the strengths of their teams and consider simple, effective actions which will increase their overall effectiveness, leading to stronger performance.

“High-performing teams are critical for organisations to survive today’s volatile business environment; relying on exceptional performers isn’t enough.”  EY

Quite often, a group of people who are seen as a workplace team are in fact a set of autonomous individuals who happen to work in the same function or report to the same manager.

High performing teams display certain characteristics that mark them out as different from other teams. High performing teams rarely happen by chance. Great leaders and team members, who really understand team dynamics, can take positive steps to ensure cohesion and highly effective shared practices.

Having a clear view of what makes a high performing team helps you to decide on where your team is already strong and where it can improve.

The webinar will cover:

  • What high performing teams are and why they don’t just happen.
  • The marks of a high performing team.
  • The journey from strong team to brilliant team and beyond.
  •  Psychological safety and the advantage it brings to any team.

Who is the event for?

Anyone who works in or leads a team.

What will you gain from it?

  • There are some common characteristics which are shared by high performing teams across many different environments. They include shared aims, high communication, agility and the ability to work effectively inside and outside the team, regardless of any pressures or other challenges.
  • Becoming a high performing team means moving the average ability and performance across the team upwards, to bring it closer to that of its strongest members. It also requires a team to be highly aware of its opportunities to grow and committed to taking these opportunities.
  • The dynamics within a team are impacted by many factors. Ensuring that the team environment is a space where all team members can flourish and contribute to team success, drives high performance.
