Time to get registered

Next week, showroom doors finally swing open again and a huge part of the industry can get back to what it does best – selling cars in person.

I know that many companies have adapted to the COVID-19 restrictions – selling vehicles online for example – but customers walking back into showrooms is a brilliant, and much needed, sign that things are slowly starting to return to normality.

It’s the final piece in the puzzle that means the industry can get back on track, bring more people in from furlough and really start accelerating the recovery. We know there’s pent-up demand, and now we need to meet it.

The IMI is here to make sure that you can make the most of the re-opening. Getting on the IMI Professional Register could give you the edge, helping your business show customers your credentials and give them the perfect reason to come to you.

It could make an even bigger difference as EV sales ramp up and customers want to find businesses that can guide them on the road to electrification. We can’t hide from it, and the shift is already gaining momentum.

The latest sales figures show that electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles make up nearly 14% of the market and are gaining ground quickly on diesel.

It’s why we’re also working with international e-Learning training experts VOCANTO (sister company to Lucas-Nülle) to get you EV-ready. More than 45 of the IMI’s e-Learning modules will have a home on the groundbreaking digital platform, helping prepare you for the future, so you can help your customers.
