New scholarship puts women in the driver’s seat

Carspring has partnered with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) to launch a unique scholarship to encourage increased female participation in the motor industry.  The online cars sales company will provide bursaries of £1,000 to two female students to help support their studies, along with two weeks work experience at their offices in London and Berlin.

Government must invest £30m in training to make electric cars affordable for all

Ahead of the Autumn Statement this week a motor industry body is calling on the Government to make a £30m investment in specialist electric and hybrid vehicle training for thousands of maintenance and repair technicians in the independent retail sector. The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) believes the investment is crucial to support the public switch to ultra low emission vehicles (ULEV).
