The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) will shortly start a review of the above National Occupational Standards (NOS).
Consultation events will be mainly electronic, in the form of online surveys and video/telephone conference meetings, and we need industry experts like you to feed in. There is no requirement to attend all meetings – just be as involved as you wish.
For those who take part, a CPD certificate will be issued as a small ‘thank you’ for your time, which can be used towards IMI Membership/Professional Registration.
Phase 1 - COMPLETED
Expression of Interest registration:
- EOL forms closed on 12th September
- Feedback will be collated, and online meetings will be held to discuss.

DRAFT NOS is available below now, along with a document for each NOS suite outlining the suggested changes.
Wider consultation electronic surveys to gather feedback on the draft NOS will be open from 28h November 2025 for 6 weeks:

Those who participate in the review can claim a CPD certificate for their time. At the end of the project, an email will be sent out to those eligible.
